August is Wellness Month

Did you know August is wellness month? That means 31 days of prioritizing wellness for the mind, body and soul! There was no better place to kick off a month of wellness than at the Beverly Wilshire secret rose garden (yep back again!) with entrepreneurs that are changing the wellness game.

Jaderolling

I learned all about the benefits of jade rolling from the Rose Quartz Roller demonstration presented by Kopari. Jade rolling has been used for centuries in ancient Chinese medicine. It helps with lymphatic drainage, reduces under eye darkness, increases circulation, and eases skincare absorption. I use my jade roller on the daily right after I put on my serums to help with absorption. Tip: Put your jade roller in the fridge after use so its always nice and cool when you use it.

Cryotherapy

Here I am getting a Cryotherapy spot treatment from a specialist from the Beverly Wilshire Spa. Cryotherapy literally means cold therapy and is used for pain management. This treatment involves exposing individuals to extremely cold dry air (below −100 °C) for two to four minutes. It helps with uneven skin tone, boosts circulation, detoxifies the body and stimulates lymphatic drainage. It definitely did the trick :)
