Priyanka Chopra, Arianna Huffington, Huda and more Define Empowerment and Beauty at Beautycon Los Angeles 2019
This year’s 2-day Beautycon Festival started and ended with a bang! The world’s largest beauty convention returned to Los Angeles with a series of engaging panels, fireside chats, live makeup tutorials and activations from brands like Glossier, Huda Beauty, Anastasia Beverly Hills, NYX, Boscia, Too Faced, Milani and more.
The festival opened with an introduction from Jeannie Mai and performances from Montana Tucker, KidaTheGreat and more. Afterwards, Priyanka Chopra discussed the importance of empowering women and her charitable work through her foundation, The Priyanka Chopra Foundation for Health and Education, with Beautycon founder Moj Mahdara. Chopra also spoke on confidence in an increasingly “picture perfect” world, saying to “Find your confidence, you know, instead of looking for it in other people’s validation. I think that’s the most important is to look in the mirror and be like ‘I’m good with me. It does not matter what anyone else says.’”
The 2nd day featured a discussion between Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter and CEO Ciara with Arianna Huffington on confidence, leveling up, master resilience and self-love. Throughout the day, fireside chats with Megan Thee Stallion, Kehlani and Huda Khattan were featured.
Other celebrities and social media influencers in attendance included Jhené Aiko, Tina Knowles Lawson, Tyra Banks, Patrick Starrr, Liza Koshy and more more. Liza Koshy even expressed, “You are not a number. You have power and purpose…whatever you have promote it and preach it.”
Beautycon Festivals, which have taken place all over the world, including Los Angeles, New York, Tokyo, London, Dubai and Dallas, celebrate the beauty of self-expression and staying true to oneself. Beautycon festivals have welcomed more than 100,000 fans worldwide, and have ignited a global trend in the world of beauty and experiential.
